BioPrior to starting Drake Enterprises, Jim Adams served in the U.S. Navy as an Intelligence Specialist, Visit, Board, Search, & Seizure (VBSS) team member, and Rescue Swimmer. He is Combat Diver trained, and maintains a PADI-certified DiveMaster rating. He earned the Southwest Asia Service Medal w/ Bronze Star for service in support of operation Desert Storm. After his discharge, Jim worked as a commissioned security officer and firearms/self-defense instructor.
He continued working as a PADI Divemaster through 2001, and earned his commission in the U.S. Merchant Marines in 2003. He started Drake Enterprises in 2004 which continues to train individuals in self-defense techniques, tactical firearm use, and concealed carry laws and restrictions. I'm currently enrolled in a PADI IDC (Instructor Development Course) and will be a fully qualified PADI SCUBA Instructor by September, 2008.
